The Thing About Men
I had a ball playing a swaggering, cheating, cuckholded, and ultimately repentant husband in this comic musical by the creative team that cooked up I Love You, Your Perfect, Now Change. The show ran Nov. 6th through Dec. 19th at the Off-Broadstreet Theatre in Hopewell, NJ.
Poems & Tales of Edgar Allan Poe
Thank you to all who came to these Oct. 29th readings at the Princeton Public Library. Thanks to actors Joanna Bayless, Craig Brown, and Fred Tumas for the immersion in the unsettling, but oh so strangely attractive art of Edgar Allan Poe. Presented by the Princeton Theatre Experiment, directed by yours truly.
Very Vaudeville
I created a clown bit with my capable assistant, Sarah Webster, for this show which ran at ActorsNET of Bucks County from August 14-16. My character took great satisfaction from very small successes. Thanks to our enthusiastic audience.
Picasso at the Lapin Agile
I directed a staged reading of Steve Martin's play on Tuesday, July 21st, and thanks to the amazing Princeton Public Library audience (120+ souls) and the players who made the first outing of the Princeton Theatre Experiment a full-house event.
Celebration Barn
In late June and early July, I was up in Maine doing a nine-day workshop with Keith Johnston, writer of Impro, and then one more week with John Murphy of Mummenschantz fame. It was a joyful and re-creative time reconnecting with the Celebration Barn community. See what I'm talking about at www.celebrationbarn.com.
Shakespear-e-thon 2009
Sadly, Princeton Rep Company is gone, but Princeton's Shakespear-e-thon lives on. I produced and hosted this event as part of Communiversity on Saturday, April 25th on the Palmer Square Green. Thanks to the readers, players, and singers who shared their talent and love of the great words and stories of Shakespeare; and thanks to our audience who braved the glorious sun.
Wait Until Dark
I played the con-man Mike Tallman in Hopewell's Off-Broadstreet Theatre production of Frederick Knott's classic thriller. The show ran from April 17 though May 23. Thanks to all who shrieked, screamed, and bit their lip between bites of tasty dessert!
Bits 'O Commercial Work
On April 7th I shot a commercial for Route 22 Toyota where I play a service manager. It's running now... On April 8th I shot the premier episode of Fugitive Chronicles appearing on A&E in January 2010 -- I play a police negotiator.
Mid-Life: The Crisis Musical
Thank you to all who came to my first full-blown musical outing at The Off-Broadstreet Theatre in Hopewell, NJ which ran from 2/27 to 4/4. I had a ball wallowing in mid-life's insults and insights and loved our exhuberant audiences! Read US1's review...

Luna Stage Staged Reading
On Sunday, Nov. 17, I was part of a staged reading of Miss Lily Gets Boned, a new play by Bekah Brunstetter. Cheryl Katz directed the reading that was presented at Luna Stage in Montclair, NJ. As it turned out, God and I both boned Miss Lily.
Shakespear-e-thon: Thank You
Thanks to the readers, singers, performers and volunteers of Princeton Rep Company's 2008 Shakespear-e-thon, held Saturday, April 26th on the Palmer Square Green. I hosted the event with players that included grade school students and student groups, amateur and professional actors and singers, and Paul Muldoon, the Pulitzer Prize-winning poet, reading from the sonnets.
West Texas on the East End (of LI)
On April 13th, I finished a run of Preston Jones' The Oldest Living Graduate at the Hampton Theatre in Quogue, NY. It is the story of a west Texas father and son grappling over a piece of lakefront land which holds memories for one, and rich possibilities for the other. Here are the reviews from The Southampton Press and Newsday.
Want.
I was one channel of a "multiple channel algorithmic video installation" entitled, Want, that opened on April 3 at the Beale Center for Art & Technology at UC Irvine, part of an exhibition called LIVE.
The Breach
I was part of a staged reading of The Breach, a new play by Catherine Filloux, Tarell McCraney, and Joe Sutton presented by the Princeton High School and the Arts Council of Princeton on Friday, Feb. 8. This documentary play presents the experience of those living in the Ninth Ward of New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina and the surprising points of view held there.
Princeton Rep Company's PlayLAB
I was curator of this winter's PlayLAB staged reading series presented by Princeton Rep Company in the Princeton Public Library. I directed Deborah Brevoort's Signs of Life (1/13/08) and I performed in Joe Penhall's Blue/Orange (1/27/08).

2006
LAMDA Shakespeare Summer
I'm back from London where I was part of a 4-Week Shakespeare Intensive (July 17 - August 4, 2006) at LAMDA. Studying Shakespeare in London with great colleagues and mentors has got to be as good as it gets in Western civilization! Pictures here...
Essex Pain Management
This cable TV commercial was shot twice with changes of cast. I survived. You can see the two versions on YouTube.com: Take 1 - Take 2
Captain Valedor
This short award-winning film is now online. I am Captain Valedor! "I trust our adventures will continue, O comrade in justice..."

Entertaining Science
Thanks to those who came to the Sunday, June 4, 2006 program of Roald Hoffman's long-running Entertaining Science series at the Cornelia Street Café. On that night Bonnie Bassler (Princeton University/Howard Hughes Medical Institute) revealed the languages of bacterial communication. Responding to Bonnie's ideas in collaboration with Jenny Lee Mitchell, Nöelle Holly, and Matt Anderson, I created a shadow theater piece that explored what happens when the one becomes many and the many transform.
